- Speaker: Mehdi Cherif
A student in sociology at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences in Tunis and in social psychology at the Open University, Mahdi writes and communicates about Tunisian education reform.
In his latest book, "Ils sont parmi nous: GERM et éducation en Tunisie" published in September 2019 and translated into Arabic, he addresses the issue of the commodification of education as well as the ideological movement that justifies it.
He also manages an associative project, Génération Transition, which promotes local knowledge through the organization of conferences and the publication of analyses by Tunisian thinkers and researchers.
- Description :
His vision of the world is different, and his discourse is often critical. Mahdi Cherif will talk about productivism and the pressure the economy exerts on the way we behave.
He will also be talking about life hacking, a philosophy of life that consists in finding quick solutions to overcome difficulties. In times of crisis, we need solutions. Coming from a young person, the added value is certainly different.
