Assistance with residence formalities for international students

For a visa to enter Tunisia

This visa is not required for nationals of many foreign countries (see the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website: www.mae.tn ).

If a visa is required, the visa applicant must provide the following documents:

  • Two recent passport photos.
  • Three visa forms can be downloaded from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website (www.mae.tn ) or obtained from a Tunisian consular office.
  • A photocopy of the first two pages of your passport.
  • A photocopy of the final registration certificate and the receipt of payment.

For residence permits

On arrival in Tunis, the international student must submit the following documents to the residence permit department:

  • Confirmation of enrolment and full payment of tuition fees,
  • The rental contract or a certificate from a university residence,
  • Two recent passport photos,
  • Two 10 DT revenue stamps,
  • Proof of income from a bank or a certificate of support,
  • Proof of health/accident insurance.

Welcome on arrival in Tunisia

For international students who wish to do so and notify the international student welcome service in good time (email: internationaux@lbs.tn ), LAW & BUSINESS SCHOOL will meet them at the airport and help them settle in for the first time.

Integration week

Once contact has been made with LAW & BUSINESS SCHOOL, Rue du Lac d'Annecy on the banks of the lake, the student committee takes charge of new arrivals and introduces them to the school and its environment.

  • The "DT" dinar is the Tunisian currency. The parity of the DT with the main foreign currencies is as follows (for information only): 1DT = 1000 millimes = 0.31 € = 0.35 $.   • The cost of living in Tunis is affordable compared to many African and Middle Eastern capitals.
  • Tunisian foodstuffs are 40-50% cheaper than in Europe: a baguette=0.190 DT, a daily newspaper=0.700 DT, a full-fare metro-bus ticket: 0.320 DT.
