Master's degree in Accounting (preparation for chartered accountancy)

Presentation of the sector

The aim of the Master's degree in Accounting is to train specialists for positions of responsibility in entities as diverse as accounting departments,public accounting firms and consulting firms.

This course covers all the knowledge needed to work in accounting, control, auditing and consulting (legal, tax, financial, etc.) in companies or public accounting firms.

The course lasts two years (four semesters) and leads to a Professional Master's degree in Accounting (BAC + 5, LMD system).

The training program is designed to be in line with the reference training proposed by the national sectoral commission for professional Masters in Accounting. Graduates of this Master's program can enroll directly for the Certificat d'Études Supérieures "Révision Comptable" exams, required to obtain the national Chartered Accountant diploma, and subsequently be registered with the Ordre des Experts Comptables de la Tunisie.

This Master's program is aimed at holders of a basic or applied bachelor's degree in accounting, or any other diploma accepted as equivalent. It is aimed at recent graduates of bachelor's degrees with no professional experience, as well as at holders of bachelor's degrees with professional experience wishing to complete their training.

Target skills

The training provided enables you to

- Analyze and interpret all operations and design an organization's accounting and financial information system using IT resources,
- Produce financial statements for complex entities, and the corresponding tax and social security returns,
- Advise a customer or management on the most appropriate choices,
- Intervene in the legal or contractual auditing of such entities,
- Produce and exploit management information (management accounting and budgets),
- Manage the entity's financial resources (investments, management of third-party accounts, risk management, management of balance sheet financial resources),
- Negotiate with third parties,
- Assist a customer or management in the event of a tax or social security audit,
- Search technical documentation for answers to unexpected and sometimes complex questions,
- Communicate orally and in writing, sometimes the results of one's work (for example : preparing the company's financial communication),
- Present the results of work in English, orally and in writing,
- Manage a team,
