Fighting plagiarism

Respect for intellectual property is one of the fundamental principles to which LBS is committed as a self-respecting academic institution, hence the introduction of a plagiarism prevention and detection policy for its students and teaching staff.

Awareness campaign
To curb the phenomenon and better inform students about intellectual integrity, plagiarism and its consequences, LBS has launched an awareness campaign on social networks in close collaboration with student associations. The main aim is to raise awareness of the offences associated with these practices.

Using anti-plagiarism software

This is achieved by providing teachers and students with access to the URKUND similarity detection platform.

This platform can be used to analyze student work in digital form, to locate and identify paragraphs similar to texts available online and whose sources are not cited.

These actions in favor of intellectual integrity aim to improve the quality of deliverables produced by students, and encourage them to redouble their efforts to produce authentic, high value-added content.

LBS will soon be publishing a Student Guide to Intellectual Integrity to help students avoid plagiarism.
